Today we had stopped to visit the Garden of the Gods and learned a lot about the Southern Rockies! While the park has options for biking, hiking, etc. they also had a huge visitor center at this National Landmark. We went in a "time machine" and learned how the mountains and famous red rocks were formed. One of the famous formations is the "Kissing Camels". The visitor center also has a museum with artifacts from the area, items from local wildlife, and exhibits on the dinosaurs that have been discovered in the area. We were able to explore the area before moving on to our next stop.
